Brandon Camera Club: Events 2019

The Brandon Camera Club will start meeting again in January at Crocus Plains Lecture Theatre.
Meetings begin at 7:30 pm.

Monday, February 4 - Bring up to 4 photos for the challenge "Fog".
Bring up to 4 photos of anything whatever or wherever!
Pat Stone will be doing a refresher on "Composition/Landscape".
Pat will send out a photo for all of us to fix up as we please.
The challenge is "Make it Your Own".

Monday, February 18 - Holiday. No meeting.

Thursday, February 28 - Deadline for Early Bird pricing for Manitoba Photo Events "Michelle Vallberg" in Winnipeg May 4th.

Monday, March 4 - Pat Stone will present "Flash in the Pan" - advice on how to use your off camera flash unit.
Al Rogosin has some photos from a friend - he will explain.
Bring the image that you "Made it Your Own" from the image that Pat sent out.
Bring up to 4 photos for the challenge "Ageing". Let's see how creative we can be!

Sunday, March 10 - A Sunday outing to Ski Valley north of Minnedosa. A great chance to shoot people trying to ski! There is also a nice warm club house with food!

Monday, March 18 - Stino Scaletta will be presenting "Germany and Austria" - should be great!
Jim Atkinson will show you how to use the colour replacement tool. You can make your car a new colour!
For the challenge, bring up to 4 photos taken with flash.

Monday, April 1 - Jim Atkinson will demonstrate how to "Paint with Light" so bring some small items like shoes, jackets etc. along with your camera and tripod.

Monday, April 15 - Bring up to 4 photos for the challenge "Painting with Light".
Also bring up to 4 images using the colour replacement tool.

Saturday, May 4 - Michelle Valberg in Winnipeg.

Monday, May 6 - "Sip and Shoot". Meet at 6 PM at the Double Decker for supper and then a shoot downtown Brandon. It was great last year.

Saturday and Sunday, May 11 and 12 - Whitewater Lake shoot. Come Saturday and stay to shoot Sunday as well.
Other photographers and photo clubs and groups will be invited to join in on this event.
This is the best time to catch the annual bird migration.
Staying overnight will provide the opportunity for later evening light as well as early morning light and birds. Come for one day or two.

Monday, June 3 - Bring up to 4 photos from "Sip and Shoot".
Bring up to 4 photos you have shot at night or fireworks.
Vote for executive this night.

Wednesday to Sunday, June 5 to 9 - Summer Fair.
Come on Wednesday the 5th and shoot fireworks.

Sunday, June 23 - Sunday road trip - "On the Road Again" to Cypress River/Tiger Hills area. Last year was great.

Fall Events Monday, September 9 - Planning meeting at Jim Atkinson's house - 16 Imperial Crescent at 7 p.m.

Monday, September 16 - Welcome back. Bring 4 fireworks photos from July 1st.
Also bring 4 showing what you did this past summer and 4 from the Cypress River/Tigers Hills outing!
